WristSAT is a hobby project by DJ7NT. It is a satellite-pass tracker for iPhone, Apple Watch, and the Apple Watch complication. This page describes what the app does with your data and how to reach the developer.
In short: WristSAT does not collect, sell, or share any personal data. It has no accounts, no analytics, no advertising, and no tracking. Location is used only on your device to compute satellite passes and is never transmitted anywhere.
To show current satellite positions, WristSAT downloads public orbital element data (TLEs) from amsat.org. This is a plain download of a publicly available file maintained by AMSAT (sourced from public NASA / U.S. Government data, which is in the public domain). No user data is sent with this request — it is a single anonymous GET.
The companion Apple Watch app and its complication receive only the satellites you starred on your iPhone and your current location. They are sent over the local Bluetooth link between your own paired iPhone and Watch (WatchConnectivity). Nothing in this exchange leaves your personal devices and no server is involved.
WristSAT is a technical utility and not directed at children. No data from children (or anyone) is collected.
Because WristSAT stores nothing server-side and holds no personal data about you, there is no data held by the developer to access, correct, export, or delete. To clear everything stored locally on your device, simply uninstall the app.
If the app’s data practices change, this page will be updated and the “Effective” date above will reflect the change.
